SFC Method Station II
Thar Instruments, makers of the TharSFC line of green chromatography Method Station system, is what most people describe as a methods development system for screening multiple compounds with multiple columns and multiple mobile phase compositions. The Analytical SFC Method Station II features a smaller footprint with an Analytical–2–Prep Column Oven and expanded capacity high–speed Alias autosampler and optional Waters Photo Diode Array and ELSD Detectors.
More on SFC...
"Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) uses carbon dioxide (CO2) that has been compressed into the ´supercritical state´ in which it can diffuse through solids like a gas while dissolving materials like a liquid. When used as the mobile phase in chromatography it can give separations similar to those gained using normal phase chromatography but in much reduced time frames. Significant savings can be realized during the lifetime of the products as the systems can condense the CO2 directly from the atmosphere meaning that fewer recurring consumable costs are incurred. Supercritical Fluid Chromatography is better for separating isomers and enantiomers, and structurally related compounds, including by–products, impurities, degradants, and metabolites. Supercritical Fluid Chromatography is a viable analytical technique that can withstand the rigors of method validation in the pharmaceutical industry
